A Return to What Heals
February air hangs in the balance. Still winter, not yet spring. In Santa Cruz, mornings arrive cold and the afternoons promise warmth they can't quite deliver. It's a month that resists momentum. A season that won't be rushed.
At Yoso, it marks a beginning.
While January pushes urgency, February still belongs to winter. In Traditional Chinese Medicine and seasonal biology, winter is a time of restoration — of conserving energy, tending to what’s beneath the surface, and rebuilding reserves before growth begins.
As we move into the Lunar New Year — a cultural marker of renewal — we honor that renewal begins with restoration.
We've been quiet these past months.
Listening.
Unraveling.
Returning to why we exist at all.
What emerged wasn't reinvention, it was remembering.
And today, we open the doors.
Why Now?
The year starts fast.
Resolutions dissolve into routines.
Then suddenly it's February, and nothing feels different. The fatigue lingers. The inflammation simmers under your skin, behind your eyes, in the catch of your breath.
This moment matters because it invites pause. A chance to recalibrate. To choose something that isn't about chasing more, but remembering enough.
Culturally, we’re taught that January demands reinvention. But biologically, we are still in winter.
The nervous system is not designed to surge forward in the darkest, coldest season.
Winter asks for repair. For grief. For integration. For gentleness.
When we override that rhythm, inflammation often follows.
Most wellness is loud. Promises and protocols and quick fixes. Yet beneath it all, people are still tired.
Still inflamed.
Still asking why nothing works.
The question: What if healing isn't something you do, but something you return to?
The Method
At Yoso, we see inflammation not as a condition but as a pattern.
Physical, emotional, energetic.
It speaks through breakouts and brain fog.
Anxiety and hormonal chaos.
Burnout.
Ritual Therapy is our answer.
This philosophy was refined not only through intuition, but through years of clinical observation and case study work. During my extensive treatment research — work that led to international recognition as Esthetician of the Year — I witnessed repeatedly that the greatest transformations did not come from intensity. They came from regulation. From consistency. From nervous system support layered thoughtfully into advanced care.
Not treatment. A path.
Designed to unwind inflammation at its root through touch, breath, rhythm, rest.
This isn't about performance. It's about presence.
A Story
One winter afternoon, a longtime client returned after months away. She'd been carrying everything—family, work, grief, change. "I don't even know what I need," she said.
So we listened. We didn't rush. We guided her through a new facial ritual designed not just to treat skin, but to regulate her nervous system. To help her remember her breath. To soften.
When she left, she said only this: "I feel like I found myself again."
What We Believe
The new Yoso is built on ritual. Every offering—from facial therapies to bodywork—addresses the inflammation beneath the surface. Not by targeting symptoms, but by tending to the system as a whole.
We honor your body's intelligence. We understand that regulation precedes repair. We trust nature over noise. We believe healing isn't about fixing, but remembering who you are underneath it all.
We believe longevity and biohacking are deeply personal. Not one-size-fits-all protocols, but individualized blueprints rooted in your stress patterns, your inflammation history, your hormonal landscape, your season of life.
This is Ritual Therapy for Inflammation.

Guiding Principles
“We believe healing is a return—to rhythm, to breath, to the quiet truth beneath it all."
"Inflammation isn't just physical. It's emotional. Energetic. And it asks to be met with reverence."
"Ritual is not indulgence. It's intelligence."
"The body holds the wisdom. We simply listen."
"This is care that lingers. Not just in the skin, but in the soul."
A Note from Jennalee
Yoso has always been more than a spa. Now it's becoming what it was meant to be.
A place to soften. To exhale. To be met.
Yoso means “raw elements” in Japanese — a nod to my heritage and to the philosophy that shaped this rebrand. During my time in Japan, I felt a deep reconnection to simplicity, ritual, and the symbolism of the Enso — the imperfect circle that represents wholeness.
That circle lives in our logo, and in our method. Care as a continuous arc. Nothing fragmented. Nothing rushed.
As a practitioner, busy entrepreneur and a mother, I created Yoso as a place where the nervous system could settle. Where care could feel ancestral. Where healing could be quiet and true.
My own journey through high-performance seasons, inflammation, and rebuilding my health reshaped how I practice. The deeper I studied the skin, the body and the nervous system, the clearer it became: healing is less about force, and more about creating safety.
This rebrand honors that. It deepens into the rituals that have always guided us. And it invites you into care that meets you where you are.
You don't have to know exactly what you need. Just begin. Let us guide you back.
Welcome home.
